Home Styling

We offer a personal, friendly and affordable Home Styling service that fills the gap between doing it yourself and hiring an expensive interior designer. Restyle an individual room or your whole home. We work closely with you to develop and deliver a stunning result for your home. Although we have a wealth of knowledge and experience it is important to us that you feel part of the design process. Whether you have a small or large budget we will find solutions to suit your needs and lifestyle.

Who we are

The Want Room is the brain child of super organised friends Rakhi Kapila-Nowell and Leigh Miller who were both running busy family homes after working within the design industry. Both have over 20 years design experience, so an interior design business seemed like a natural progression.

Rakhi Kapila-Nowell

Rakhi trained as a jewellery designer at Birmingham School of Jewellery and then ran a successful jewellery design studio in London for 10 years, selling in Selfridges & Liberty. Latterly as Operations Manager for a leading jewellery house her super organisation skills flourished. She has one small confession...``I am a control freak! Nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing bits and bobs tidied away. Shoes lined up. Bedrooms looking clean and calm. Paperwork shredded and filed. No clutter. ``

Leigh Miller

Leigh studied Visual Communication Design at university specialising in illustration. She has worked for several design agencies in London as a Senior Web Designer but her real passion is design within the home. ``As a busy mum with two young children I am used to tidying away mess and more mess. Keeping a tidy house is no mean feat but there are ways to organise our chaotic lives through practical design that really works for you and your home``.

Want to know how it works?
We will discuss your wants and needs in an initial phone conversation and then arrange a visit to assess your space. We will then sit down, discuss your style requirements and design a room plan and mood board for you to truly visualise the proposed changes to your space. Once this is agreed we will then arrange to start.
Perhaps you’re planning to move home and feel the need to take ‘me’ out of home to make your property more appealing to a broader market. We can organise you and can take the stress and the hassle out of organising your home or helping make it more buyer friendly by Home Staging it for you. We pride ourselves on tailoring our services to meet your personal needs.
